Originally, the band did covers of blues and R&B songs. The album Aftermath released in 1966 consisted mainly of Jagger’s and Richards’ songs. Guitarist Ronnie Wood joined the band in 1975. Although they were originally famous in the United Kingdom/Europe, the Rolling Stones made their appearance in the US during the 1960’s. They have 22 albums released in the UK , 24 in the US , along with 9 concert albums in the US and many compilations. They have to date sold over 200 million albums world wide. In 2005 they released their last album, A Bigger Bang. They were brought into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and were #4 in Rolling Stone magazine in 2004 as part of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
